How to dress to impress. 09/30/2009
As part of the millennial generation I am sometimes embarrassed by the way other millenials are dressing or even acting for that matter, Especially in the business world. To many individuals of my generation have I interviewed in my position that do not possess the knowledge of proper business dress code. There are two that I come across more and more as it becomes a larger fashion trend. The first is women wearing flip flops as business casual work environment. Flip flops are fine if you are relaxing by the beach and some employers allow their employees to partake in wearing them in a business casual environment because they are getting fancier. I must say though that as a first impression no matter how nice you may think they match your outfit it is completely a horrible first impression to make on a potential employer. The second trend is men not wearing a suit or only wearing part of a suit and considering it business like. If you have a nice pair of jeans that is great but do not wear them to an interview. Instead wear a nice pair of slacks and at least a tie if not a tie and a suit jacket if you own one. I know it is difficult starting out but break down and purchase at least a hundred dollar suit from JCPenny's it will be a very good investment for your future. If you have any questions about going on your first interview or any other questions about how to start off please feel free to contact me or comment on this blog entry. OSU vs USC September 12th 09/10/2009
![]() I know this is supposed to be a professional blog but as I am a huge OSU fan I cannot ignore this upcoming game. This will be the game of the season to watch as we once again face a very tough USC team. We will be as fired up as ever while we dropped two places in the poll. I know that many people have given up on us once again after last weeks performance against Navy but the season is early anything can happen. There are some key things that must take place in order to come away next Saturday victorious. Number one we must unleash Terrell Pryor unrelentlessly upon the Trojans as he must run and pass the ball effectively to give the Bucks a competitive edge. Secondly the defense has to step it up and operate flawlessly allowing no small yardage plays break for big yards. In the Navy game there were to many missed opportunities with big passing plays going for long yardage. They must put pressure on the young quarterback to make mistakes to force turnovers. He cannot be allowed to quiet the crowd as we have to get in his head and use the homefield advantage against the inexperienced quarterback. The defense must improve on shutting down the run game as Tailback U has a vast depth chart at RB and they will reload every set if we do not stop the run. Overall there are some things that we must improve upon but we have a young team that is very versatile and I am very excited to see what is in store this weekend September 12th at the Shoe. - Creator of Destinies |
